About the Artist

Born to paint, Donovan Nelson works out of his studio in the blossoming art scene that is the motherborough of Brooklyn, New York City. Showing his work at various galleries, art shows, competitions and symposia nationwide, Nelson studied figurative painting for the past decade, working commercially for many years and showing his work artistically as well. Also a high school art teacher in Brooklyn, Nelson has been taking time off to launch his fine art career with solo and group shows recently, everywhere from NYC to Philadelphia, from the West Indies to the Northeast. Already gracing the walls of many private collectors locally and abroad, Nelson’s originals and can be purchased by contacting the artist for an appointment to visit his studio suite.
